Emily Brundige is a writer and creator for animation. In 2012, she created the hit Shut Up! Cartoons series Pubertina for YouTube, which garnered millions of views, fans, and haters. Since then, she's gone on to write on and develop shows for Disney, Fox ADHD, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, Silvergate Media, Nickelodeon, and most recently, developed Harvey Street Kids for Dreamworks TV/Netflix. She also voiced the character of Sara in the Emmy-award-winning Cartoon Network mini series Over the Garden Wall, winning her a BTVA People's Choice Voice Acting Award along with the rest of the cast.

She currently serves as Story Editor on the Annie and Emmy-award-winning series Hilda for Silvergate/Netlix, created by Luke Pearson.

I’ve loved Emily Brundige’s humorous and charming animation since I first saw her CalArts student film. She’s a creator - auteur whose pieces can be sensitive & introspective and also flat out funny. Emily’s a great songwriter - artist but it’s her writing and personal voice that stand out for me. She imbues her humor with whimsy, pathos & pinch of the absurd, but she creates believable modern characters for our time.
